The View is more than happy to welcome back Joy Behar!
ABC announced Behar’s return to the desk along with returning hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Michelle Collins and Raven-Symoné.
Behar co-hosted The View for 16 seasons.
“Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in. Plus, Steve was getting tired of applauding every time I gave my opinion. But I’m happy to be back home, ” said Behar. “And I’m looking forward to sticking my two cents into the hot topics, especially now that Hillary Clinton and the Donald Trump are in the spotlight.”
Paula Faris of ABC News and Full House star, Candace Cameron Bure, will also join The View. Bure was a guest co-host during season 18, according to E!News.
“As The View embarks on a remarkable 19th season, I am extremely proud to see the legacy of smart and diverse women engaging in entertaining and thought-provoking conversation continue,” said Barbara Walters, creator and executive producer.
Bure is also starring in the Full House sequel series on Netflix, Fuller House.
“I am thrilled to be joining The View as a regular co-host this fall,” said Bure. “I am honored to be a new addition to such a strong group of bright and opinionated women, and I look forward to sharing this exciting journey with viewers new and old.”
The View will feature a rotating team of contributors including former host Sherri Shepherd, Top Chef’s Padma Lakshmi, What Not to Wear veteran Stacy London, Republican strategist Ana Navarro and actress-model Molly Sims, according to E!News.
“Starting in September we begin another exciting chapter of The View as we welcome an enormously accomplished group of new voices to the table, all led by our moderator Whoopi Goldberg,”said Bill Wolff, executive producer. “We’re looking forward to even more pop culture, more politics, more humor and more of the hot topics our audience loves.”
