After 13 weeks, 48 contestants, blind auditions, battle rounds, live shows, and plenty of bromantic tension between Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, the season 6 winner of The Voice was announced on Tuesday.
This season’s top three contestants Christina Grimmie, Jake Worthington, and Josh Kaufman were first subjected to two hours of performances before host Carson Daly made the final announcement.
The star event featured guest performers Coldplay, Robin Thicke, OneRepublic, Tim McGraw, Ed Sheeran, and Justin Moore.
Two of the finalists, YouTube sensation Grimmie and country crooner Worthington, made it to the Top 10 on the iTunes charts based on their performances from Monday, May 19’s live show, but Kaufman’s iTunes results were skewed, leading all iTunes results to be eliminated.
All of this helped Kaufman to become this season’s winner. First – time winner coach Usher couldn’t was unbelievable thrilled! How did you enjoy season six of The Voice?
