The police were allegedly responding to shots fired early Sunday in Baton Rogue and were gunned down as cops fled for cover and called for back up. Three police officers are presumed dead and three others dead. One of the the three alleged suspects are dead as they combated in a shoot-out. The gunman has been identified as Gavin Eugene Long. Reportedly he has been associated with homegrown hate groups. Sources are saying he belonged to an “antigovernment” group called the New Freedom Group. He is reportedly being said to belonged to a different group, called the Sovereign Citizens. The authorities are now telling reporters the gunman actress alone and there are no other shooters at large. Wild shoot out The police used as the police officers arrived to the scene and shot the suspect. The President issued a statement saying there is “no justification for violence against law enforcement…None.” An eye witness says he was on the scene when he heard gun fire and saw police dropping to the ground. Protest and marches have scattered streets around the Unites States in protest of cops killing black civilians such as Alton Sterling and Philando Castile which was streamed live on Facebook, in a shoot first ask questions later mentality. Police were stationed outside at the Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center where the officers were believed to be in care. One officer is said to reportedly be in critical condition.
A 12 year old, , 13 year old, a 17 year old and a 20 year old were arrested in possession of hand guns and rifles that they are suspected are going to be used to shoot at police in Louisiana. Police stated that the four were going to get bullets to allegedly shoot police. No statements have been made from the boys arrested. Riots and mayhem have broken out in the streets, in public and both sides law enforcement and black minorities are at a head. East Baton Rouge Sheriff Sid J. Gautreaux III says this is why police are being so tough. He call it a “very real, and viable threat.” The threat was proved today as two of the alledged cop shooters are at large.
