Security was tight this weekend at Lollapalooza.
In fact, on Saturday, the Chicago music festival’s security had no problem arresting one of the artists after only five minutes on stage!
Yes, we said five minutes.
Travi$ Scott’s set was shut down early because he was reportedly inviting fans to hop the security barriers and join him onstage.
You can probably understand why security was against that idea.
Festival attendees report that after Scott finished his first song, he began telling fans to get closer to the stage. He even told the security to, “get the f**k back.”
After saying things like, “Middle finger up to security right now,” he got the crowd to begin chanting, “We want rage!”
By this point, reports indicate that dozens of festivalgoers had joined the rapper onstage, and police were called to the scene.
The Chicago police arrested Scott for disorderly and reckless conduct.
The rapper apparently fled the scene when police first arrived but was “taken into custody a short while later,” according to Melissa Stratton of the Office of Emergency Management.
On Sunday, Scott posted a photo from the festival on Instagram with the caption, “Love to u fans. Thank u lollapalooza Learned a lot from this.”
So, do you think that Travi$ Scott will be invited back to Lollapalooza? He said that he learned his lesson, right?? Let us know what you think!
