When I heard this news today, I literally did a happy dance. I am a True Blood fanatic, and I’m sure I am not alone. The seventh season of True Blood begins on June 22nd at 9pm, on HBO!
HBO has released the first trailer promo for the new and final season. The video gives a walk through of “Bon Temps” graveyard. The tombstones show some of the names of characters we’ve lost during the first six seasons. Sadly,we see the final tombstone, and it belongs to the show. In a recent interview, HBO president, Michael Lombardo, stated that he “promises fans a fantastic final chapter of this incredible show”. When True Blood’s finale was announced, Lombardo said “Alan Ball took the books by Charlaine Harris, assembled a brilliant cast led by the magnificent Anna Paquin in the role of Sookie Stackhouse, and crafted a show that has taken its many devoted fans on an unforgettable journey. Alan passed the baton to Brian Buckner, who led our fantastic writers and crew in crafting a spectacular sixth season, and he will lead us through the seventh and final season of this amazing show”. I definitely agree! Watch “True Blood’s” season 7 trailer HERE.
According to E!online, another show set to debut in June is “The Leftovers”. It is the network’s highly anticipated new drama from Lost boss, which will debut on Sunday, June 15, at 10 p.m., right after the Game of Thrones season four finale.
