Ibolya Ryan, 47, was killed inside a public mall bathroom in Abu Dhabi on Dec. 3. Sadly, she left behind her three children; Twin boys Aiden and Adam, 11, and a daughter, Timea, 13 ,as well as her husband, Paul.

The Ibolya’s family have talked to the “Today Show” about that horrific day and how they plan to make her proud even though she is no longer with them. In their first interview, the three children were waiting for Ibolya outside of the restroom while she was being murdered showed incredible strength as they spoke lovingly about their mother.

“She always just wanted to help you, she sacrificed herself for other people, would never rest if she knew that someone needed her help,” said Timea, Ibolya’s daughter, on the “Today Show”.

Sadly, Paul, the children’s father, revealed in a separate interview without the boys present that they do not know the details of what happened to their mother.

Thankfully, they did not witness anything, nor did they hear their mother crying for help from where they waited for her in the hallway.

On Dec. 4, just one day after Ibolya was killed, a woman named Dala al Hashemi was arrested under the suspicion she was responsible for the brutal killing.

If Dala is found guilty, she could be facing the death penalty. However, interestingly enough, due to the laws of Abu Dhabi, Ibolya’s husband has the authority to legally pardon her killer.

“I can’t believe I have the power to pardon. That is shocking to me. I don’t even want that responsibility. But we’ll have to wait and see,” Paul told “CNN” after finding out that he could ultimately save Dala’s life.

Our thoughts are with the Ryan family during this time.
