Just because the New York Jets have struggled under Rex Ryan doesn’t mean non-football people like actor Larry David can go around saying they should be a viable option to coach in the NFL. David made a guest appearance on the Howard Stern show on Wednesday and really believed that he could help the Jets out.
David said, “I think with just a little studying, I think I could be a tremendous offensive coordinator — and defensive coordinator. I see many things that I know I can fix.”
David even shared an anecdote with Stern of him calling plays in the past. David said, “When I was a kid and we’d play football in the parking lot, I’d design very good plays.” Let’s hope for everyone’s sake that David was just joking at heart.
