On Saturday Night Live this week Andrew Garfield hosted to promote his new film, The Amazing Spider-Man 2. So SNL decided to do a Spider-Man themed skit. To help with this skit they also called in Garfield’s co-star and girlfriend, Emma Stone.
In the skit a director tells them that it’s time for their big kissing scene on the bridge. The humor comes from the fact that they have no idea how to kiss like, “normal people” and instead end up looking like they’re trying to swallow each other’s faces whole.
At one point Garfield even puts Stone’s entire chin in his mouth. It was creepy and awkward but hilarious nonetheless.
When the director has had enough of it, he suggests that Chris Martin (frontman of Coldplay) show them how it’s done. But instead of grabbing Emma Stone, he grabs Andrew Garfield and a blonde wig and says that cringeworthy line: “Why don’t you go ahead and show me that beautiful little tongue, come to papa.”
Thank you Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield for being so awesome (oh yeah, and Chris Martin too).
