Almost one year after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, the two have put a pause on the proceedings.
Things have come to a standstill, reports E! News.
“It’s true that the divorce is not moving forward right now. They are taking a breather and seeing what happens,” a source told the network.
The pair were married for two years, and together for 12, with six kids. Therefore, the two are making sure they are doing the right thing. And we say good on them!
Pitt’s sobriety seemed to be a major concern for Jolie, as she filed for divorce in October 2016, seeking sole physical custody of their kids, allowing Pitt visitation rights. Pitt fought back, however, and requested joint custody.
In December, a temporary custody agreement was put in place which granted Angelina custody of the kids and Brad “therapeutic visitation” rights. Pitt also had to partake in random drug and alcohol tests and therapy sessions every week.
Jolie recently purchased a mansion in Los Angeles for $25 million, which she revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair. She said it was a huge step forward for her and the kids.
We can only imagine how hard this has all been for Maddox Jolie-Pitt, Pax Jolie-Pitt, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and twins Knox Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.
Let’s hope the two can figure things out!
