Angelina Jolie’s upcoming film, “Maleficent“, is the biggest rave of the new movie scene, but it may also be the last movie she will be seen in for a long time.
The “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” star made an announcement that she will be pressing the hold button on her acting career. She mentioned that she would like to take part in other future endeavors. Some of the things she looks forward to doing includes directing, screen-writing, and also focusing on her current work with the UN.
During an interview on the red carpet, Jolie has told The Telegraph, “[acting’s] going to be taking more of a back seat. I’ve had a wonderful career and I am going to be taking all of the opportunities I’ve had to tell stories and work for as long as I have. I’m sure there will be a few more films, but I am happy I’m able to be selective and have fun with characters like this. I would like to focus more on writing and directing, and above all, I would like to focus more on my work with the UN.”
Looks like Jolie is changing her career path really soon. I guess we won’t see her on any future films for the moment.
