Wendy Williams is in hot water after her recent “Hot Topics” segment on the Wendy Williams Show.
The 51-year-old talk show host criticized Ariana Grande’s appearance and dress on her show recently, resulting in pure outrage from Grande fans.
“She’s 21. She’ll forever look 12,” Williams said to her audience. “And I don’t mean that in a good way. It’s nice to look younger than you are, but when you look too young and then you’re short—she’s only like 4’11”. I don’t look at her as, like, a woman.”
Following the airing of the show, Ariana’s fans took to Twitter to bash Wendy, including “#CancelWendyWilliams” in their posts. The hashtag was trending all day, Thursday, as fans continued to collectively insist on the cancellation of the Wendy Williams Show.
Now, body shaming is a big no-no…but trying to get her show cancelled is a little extreme, no?
Given, passionate fans tend to go to extremes.
Wendy Williams is known for being quite frank on her show, especially during “Hot Topics,” and the audience in the segment seems to be laughing and nodding in agreement with her.
But isn’t it a little hypocritical that Grande’s fans are upset about Williams bullying the singer, but they’re responding by bullying the talk show host in return?
No fighting fire with fire, Grande Tweeters…
There won’t be any Twitter left!
