Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson fears for her life.

Benson filed a restraining order against a 49-year-old man who claims that he was “sent by God” to be involved with the actress. According to documents obtained by E!  news, the man “has admitted that he believes he was instructed by God pursue” her romantically.

James P. Gordon was been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the 24-year-old actress. This is temporary, but a hearing is scheduled on July 9th to extend the order.

Benson was unaware of his actions until her manager, Thor Bradwell, showed her a photo of a man on June 11th. She recognized him from the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank, California. Bradwell told Benson that “Gorton has expressed feelings” for the actress and that “he stated that he is acting under instructions from God to pursue a romantic relationship” with her after falling in love with Benson about a year ago when he saw her in a coffee shop. Love at first sight, huh? What a creep!

Rick Warmack, VP of Studio protection at Warner Bros. added additional information about the part time security guard. Warmack said that Gorton told him that the two were meant to be together. Gorton said to Warmack that him and Benson were to “Spread the gospel together”, and in his own words,” Live happily ever after.”

The petition was filed on June 17th in Los Angeles Supreme Court. Gorton was forbidden to work on the lot. Benson is afraid that he may try to get in touch with her or approach her at her home. Anyone would be concerned and afraid of the same thing.

I thought security guards were meant to protect you, but how can they protect you from themselves?
