Avengers: Age of Ultron is probably the most highly-anticipated movie of the spring. Its opening weekend numbers are yet to be determined, but it sure smashed its prequel, The Avengers on opening night.
The Avengers made $18.7 million on its Thursday night debut, according to MTV News, while Age of Ultron brought in a whopping $27.6 million last night (April 30).
Not only are Marvel fans bursting at the seams (and spending their paychecks) to see Ultron, but the actors had a great time making it as well.
“Marvel does a great job of bringing a lot of the same people together–not just in front of the camera, but behind the camera. So coming back together as a group, it kinda feels like a family; it’s a lot of familiar faces,” Chris Evans said in an interview.
“I get most excited about reading Joss’ [Whedon] script, because it’s the big payoff. And all of the cover letters before the script are so delightful and self-deprecating, so that’s my favorite part,” Scarlett Johansson added.
Avengers: Age of Ultron opens today (May 1).
