The Snuggie jokes are over. Blanket Jackson, King of Pop Michael Jackson’s youngest son, apparently changed his middle name to “Bigi” before he started junior high. The thirteen-year-old boy’s full, legal name is Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., but the world has called him Blanket almost all his life. Bigi has not been legally added to his name. He has two elder siblings, brother Prince Michael Jackson II, who is eighteen, and sister Paris-Michael Jackson, age seventeen.
Sources say the young boy changed his name because he was fed up with teasing, since so many people called him Blanket. Reportedly, he hated the sound of it and developed a great deal of disdain for his late father for coming up with the nickname. On June 25, it will be six years since Michael Jackson passed away.
What do you think of the nickname Bigi? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
While it is understandable for a young person to dislike their name; Bigi in my opinion sounds worse than Blanket. Perhaps this is a real live case of “A Boy Named Sue”…
