Exactly how does a Band come out of no where and beat out Beyonce on the internet? Brothers Alejandro Manzano, 27, Daniel Manzano, 32 and Fabian Manzano,29, started out like many musicians do today…….On Youtube. They have made more than $4 million in revenue last year, and have accumulated more than 5.4 million viewers. That’s way more subscribers than Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj.
The Florida based Puerto Rican-American rock band recorded their first Youtube video in 2007. Although they are known for singing cover songs of other artists, they are gearing up for the release of their EP, No Limits on April 22. However, as popular as they are on the internet, we all know there’s another side to fame. The trio of brothers have yet to receive any radio play for their original songs. They have been hard at work to make it to the level of other major artists. Joining forces with Espionage, the song writing team who have worked with stars like Beyonce and Train, they are ready to take radio by storm.
“We’ve been doing it on our own for so many years, we have our own studio, we’ve produced all of our own music up until now,” says Alejandro, the lead singer. “To finally work with producers that have worked with so many of our idols and have them say, ‘You guys know what you’re dong,'” That’s really cool.”
So…after beating out other mainstream artists on the internet, there’s only one thing left for Boyce Avenue to do…..try to surfboard on the radio waves like Beyonce.
