Actor Chris Pine was arrested March 1st in New Zealand for drunk driving. He took a breathalyzer and exceeded the .08 limit. The 33-year-old actor was attending a wrap party for his new movie “Z for Zachariah.”

He was not pulled over, but he was stopped at a routine checkpoint near Methven in the early morning. He was not identified as a famous actor and was treated like all the rest. “Given that the matter is now before the court police will not be releasing any further information,” said the New Zealand police department.

Casey Crawford, the manager at the bar he was hanging out at said he was having a lot of fun with his girlfriend and friends. He also says that he did not appear to be intoxicated when he left the bar at 2:30am.

Crawford also mentioned that there were cars provided for those who were drunk so he is unsure as to why the actor would have gotten behind the wheel of a car.
