Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Christian Ponder and his wife Sam gesture to a grieving family will not go unnoticed.
The Ponders recently bumped into Justin Robbins and his daughters, 9-year-old Brianna and 8-year-old Emily, at a Minneapolis mall. They recently lost their mother Maggie Robbins in a tragic car accident. Still grieving, Justin decided to take his daughters to Lululemon to help raise their spirits. Brianna recognized the Vikings quarterback and asked for a photo.
When they told him about the tragic accident, both Sam and Christian wanted to do something. So they decided to tell the manager at Lululemon that they would pay for whatever Brianna and Emily wanted. Despite of having the whole store in their bag, Justin told his girls that they can only get one outfit.
Christian and Sam, an ESPN reporter, were married in December 2012. Their first daughter, named Bowden for Bobby Bowden, Christian’s coach at Florida State, was born in July.
Such a great gesture by the Ponders. The world needs more of this.
