Fans of That 70s Show, we’ve got something that will make you smile. Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson, who played Michael Kelso and Steven Hyde on the show, respectively, are reuniting. The two will star in an original Netflix series, The Ranch. We can hardly contain our excitement! Wonder if there will be any homage to those famous, basement scenes?
Currently, Netflix is in the process of finalizing a deal for the series. It was written by Two and a Half Men writers, Don Reo and Jim Patterson. Kutcher starred on Two and a Half men for seasons nine through twelve. It was Masterson who confirmed the rumors yesterday via Twitter. The actor wrote, “The secret is out” and linked to an article by Deadline.
Apparently, the show is about a former semi-pro football player (Kutcher) returning home to his ranch in Colorado. He now has to run the family business with his brother (Masterson). Laura Prepon, who played Donna on That 70s Show and now plays Alex Vause on Netflix original series, Orange Is the New Black, is also slated to appear on The Ranch. OK, how cool is this?
One more unique thing about The Ranch: Instead of the standard, thirteen-episode season that Netflix gives, it will have two, ten-episode seasons every year. We are thrilled about the show and can’t wait to see some of our favorite, sitcom stars reunite!
