Harrison Ford has been involved in a plane crash that has left him seriously injured when the vintage World War II training plane crash landed onto Penmar Golf Course in Mar Vista, California. The actor was apparently flying solo. He was alert and breathing when rescue crew had arrived, but sustained serious injury to his head. Ford,72, was taken to a near by hospital, currently listed as in “moderate to fair” condition.
Ford who is accustomed to piloting both helicopters and planes, has been involved in a crash before. In 1999, he was badly injured after crashing a Bell chopper in Santa Clara, California.
There are no further details on why the crash occurred. The National Transportation Safety Board is investing the crash.
