Too bad the Wolverine star, Hugh Jackman, doesn’t really have the healing factor; he sure could use it now. Jackman, 45, is once again battling skin cancer. Yesterday, he posted a picture of himself on Instagram with a bandage on his nose. The caption read, “Another Basel Cell Carsinoma. All out now. Thanks Dr. Albom and Dr. Arian. PLEASE! PLEASE! WEAR SUNSCREEN!”
Jackman was first treated for basel-cell carcinoma back in November. At the time, he posted a similar picture online, saying his wife Deborra-Lee Furness had encouraged him to get the “mark” checked. He had these wise words as the caption? “Please don’t be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!”
Basel-cell carcinoma is the most common form of cancer. There are almost 3 million cases are diagnosed in the U.S. each year, according to the Skin Cancer Foundation. It almost never spreads beyond the lesion site but can be disfiguring if allowed to grow.
