Reports of Kanye West Jay Z and Tidal are being sued by one man who took a tweet by Kanye to heart by believing that Kanye would only have his album “The Life of Pablo” available for stream through Tidal forever being the key word, which caused a lot of people to subscribe to Tidal, big bucks. Kanye West tweeted on February 15, 2016:
” My album will never never never be on Apple. And it will never be fr sale…You can only get it on Tidal.” @KanyeWest Twitter.
The problem comes because the music since has of course been available for stream and download on Apple Music, Google Play Music, and Spotify. My suggestion is that Kim got in his ear about capitalizing on as much as he can on the hype of “The Life of Pablo.” Almost everything is done for publicity nowadays. And it works apparently. This mans lawyer however is saying that tweets are legally binding. When I went and saw that “The Life of Pablo” was only streamed on Tidal I didn’t get it. I waited or I think I searched somewhere else and found it. The fact is he had free will. No one made him spend his money and that should be put in a clause somewhere because people are starting to sue for anything.
To add to “The Life of Pablo” drama, now Kanye is being sued yet again for his song “New Slaves” with a claim that he didn’t orchestrate a deal good enough deal to use the orchestral snippet from Hungarian Composer Gabor Presser. Gabor Presser reportedly says Kanye gave him a $10,000 check as an advance for using the snippet of Omega – Gyöngyhajú lány. The composer is now suing for a reported $2.5 Million dollars from Kanye. Looks like he will need all the money he could get from having “The Life of Pablo” available as many places as possible. At the end of the day he has a family to feed.
