Not even a day after Jim Carrey sent out a heartbreaking statement about his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Cathriona White’s, suicide, he ex, Jenny McCarthy spoke out about it.
The former The View host was recently asked in LaGuardia Airport by paparazzi, if she had gotten in touch with Carrey since hearing of his loss earlier this week.
“Just prayers. Just prayers,” is all the star repeated.
White’s family released a statement to the Irish Independent, after new of her death broke.
“The family of Cathriona White sincerely regret the untimely passing of their beloved daughter and sister,” the statement read. “Cathriona was a shining light in our lived who was loved deeply by her entire family. We will miss her terribly and at this difficult time we ask to be left in private to mourn our loss.”
White’s body was found her in Los Angeles home on Monday, and she was pronounced dead at the scene by the responders.
Carrey, who met White back in 2012, and continued to be on and off in a relationship with the Irish native for three years, released his own statement regarding her sudden passing.
“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona,” the actor and comedian said in a statement to E! News. “She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.”
