On Thursday night 39-year-old Jimmy Fallon found himself in the middle of a bar fight in the East Village’s Niagara. The Tonight Show host did not instigate the fight but he found himself caught in the middle of it.
Fallon and some co-workers went to the bar after working on Thursday to hang out but things quickly turned violent among some bar patrons. One source told the New York Post that, “there was some hostility from some people at the bar. Jimmy was not the aggressor, but he was caught up in it. It was broken up and Jimmy and his friends immediately left.”
Another said that, “there was a kerfuffle, a dust-up amongst other patrons. Jimmy was caught up in it, but was not hurt and turned around and left. It was not caused by him and he was in and out in five minutes.”
He did not allow the previous night’s unplanned nightmare to get in the way of his work. He continued taping as usual on Friday. It was never revealed what started the fight.
