Joan Rivers Won’t Apologize For Cleveland Kidnapping Joke

Recently, Joan Rivers offended many people with her “joke”, that compared her daughter’s guest room to those of the Cleveland women kidnapped by Ariel Castro. Rivers is known for her risky antics but some people feel she has taken it way too far this time.

The victims, Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus, are demanding an apology from her. However, Rivers made it very clear that she will never do such a thing. She said, “I’m a comedian. I know what those girls went through. It was a little, stupid joke. There is nothing to apologize for. I made a joke. That’s what I do. Calm down. Calm f–king down. They’re free, so let’s move on. They got to live rent free for more than a decade. One of them has a book deal. Neither are in a psych ward. They’re okay. I bet you within 3 years one of them will be on Dancing with the Stars.”

Rivers stated that the media needs to stop adding “hype” to the story and focus their attention on more important worldly issues.

Do you think Rivers’ joke was tasteless?
