Singer/songwriter and hit music producer John Legend is teaming up with DanceOn, YouTube’s leading dance video network that was Co-founded by Madonna.
John Legend has joined writer and director John Swetnam to announce an open casting call to encourage aspiring dancers to submit their video for a chance to be featured in his upcoming internet generation dance film, titled “Breaking Through”.
The auditioning hopefuls have a chance to perform at a live event in Los Angeles or have their performance video selected to be featured in the film.
On August 29th, Swetnam will be directing a live event scene for the film at the Los Angeles Convention Center that will feature dancers who have submitted their personal YouTube audition videos via the DanceOn website. Additional “Breaking Through” scenes will also be filmed that day as part of the DanceOn Spotlight: The Ultimate Dance Experience Event.
Legend had this to say about teaming up with DanceOn. “We partnered with DanceOn because this movie is all about dancing and we want you to be a part of it.”
