Warning: Game of Thrones TV spoilers are below.

Everyone’s favorite know-nothing character, Jon Snow, was killed off in the season five finale of the HBO series based on the book series by George R.R. Martin, Game of Thrones. Fans were broken. Things only got worse when Kit Harrington, the actor who portrays Jon Snow, said his character was completely dead and never to return. As it turns out, that might not be totally accurate.

Actor Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen (aka the Khaleesi), is here to give fans just a smidge of extra hope. She recently sat down for an interview with Josh Horowitz of MTV and hinted that Jon Snow might not really be dead. It makes sense to us. In a fantasy world like Game of Thrones, anything can happen.

She did admit that the show is very secretive, and even the actors aren’t clued in about all the inner workings. But if Clarke was a betting woman, she would say, “there’s a 50/50 chance.” Clarke pointed out that there are characters in the universe who could revive Jon Snow.

It’s possible she’s referring to a very popular fan theory about the sorceress Melisandre. In season three, she met the character Thoros of Myr, who was able to bring another character, Beric Dondarrion, back from the dead about a thousand times. Clarke’s hunch hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s sure to make fans smile. So far, they like her words better than Harrington’s, “I’m dead. I’m not coming back.” And wouldn’t you?

Yes!!! Bring back John Snow! It would be awesome if he came back to rescue some of his “legitimate” siblings to avenge their fathers beheading!
