Katy Perry Super Bowl Halftime Show was one to remember.
I used the phrase “Katy Perry Super Bowl Halftime Show” because this show set a new, wildly absurd bar for effects.
Between the lion, the flying star, the chessboards and Missy-Freaking-Elliott jacket change, Perry’s performance was grander in scope than anything seen in recent Super Bowl halftime memory. It was better than last year’s show with Bruno Mars and I liked his halftime show.
The appearances of Lenny Kravitz was much too short however. Kravitz is a legend and I felt that he needed more time with his performance. Missy Elliott who was expected to perform gave a good performance despite kids of this generation asking who is she?
With the visual effects and mechanical lions, I felt it was one of the best Halftime show in quite a while. This was a spectacular halftime show. I had my reservations after Bruno Mars left nothing but scorched earth after last year’s show, but Perry lived up to the hype. We’ll only get better if Kanye and Paul McCartney take over next year.
Please NFL, don’t pair them up!
