Public Figure Kelly Osbourne may not be a racist, but some comments she mad Tuesday has Hispanics in an uproar. The talk show host for the popular show “The View,” was discussing with other hosts about Donald Trump and his racist remarks about Mexicans. Osbourne said, “If you kick every Latino out of this country then who is going to be cleaning your toilets, Donald Trump?” Ever since she made that comment, she has been receiving negative feedback from people and her own peers.
Osbourne issued a a long apology on Facebook: “I want to start by saying I always take responsibility for my actions,” the message began. “In this particular case I will take responsibility for my poor choice of words but I will not apologize for being a racist as I am NOT. I whole-heartedly f—–d up today. I don’t want to bulls—t anyone with lame excuses. Although, I was stopped mid-sentence by Rosie and couldn’t finish my point I will not let Rosie take responsibility for my words. Osbourne went on to express her regret for not choosing her words carefully. “I’ve learned a valuable lesson. It is my hope that this situation will open up a conversation about immigration and the Latin community as a whole.” Hopefully Osbourne did not intentionally mean to be racist or offend any Hispanic at all.
