So if your ready for this new controversy over Prince’s death…Newsweek reports Kiss band member Gene Simmons is not sparing anyone’s feelings in the speculated rumors surrounding Prince’s death. We all know what prescription pain medication can do to you once you acquired an addiction. “Percocet” is the pain pill of choice today. The late singer Prince was scheduled to meet with his Addiction Specialists the day he was found unconscious in his home in Minnesota.

Gene Simmons was recently caught up in an argument with the Californian Compton group N.W.A. about being inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Simmons told Newsweek that Prince’s death was “….a choice.” While it is easier said to criticize musicians lives behind closed doors, Gene compares Prince”s death to Bowies calling Bowies death the result of a “real sickness.”

With Simmons going on and on telling Newsweek “how pathetic he [Prince] killed himself….that’s what drugs and alcohol is…a slow death,” all after praising him over Micheal Jackson. A real charmer this one….. So much of a charmer his band mate Paul Stanley actually had to take to Twitter to apologize for his band mate Simmons’ remarks stating his remarks were “cold and clueless” and that he was “embarrassed” by Simmons cruel statements about Prince’s death.

Stanley said a mouth full while posting “without all the facts, better to say nothing.” I’m sure the fans of Prince, which seems bigger than Beyoncés’ flock is ripping Simmons a new one both on and off of social media. Whether there is  heart wrenching truth to what Gene Simmons is saying or not, Prince’s soul deserves to rest in peace… least for a few weeks….damn, smh. More to unfold on the story of Prince’s death as his autopsy report was inconclusive and his full toxicology report still waiting to be received.
