In an interview with Diane Sawyer on April 24, former Olympian and TV personality Bruce Jenner announced that he is a woman. Jenner’s ex-wife, Kris, spoke about the transition in Los Angeles this Wednesday. She commented that she “feels like Jenner died” after his decision to transition. The 59-year-old TV star and producer continued, feeling like she must “mourn the person [she] was with all these years” and the future she anticipated the two would have.
In general, however, the Kardashian/Jenner family has been especially supportive of Jenner’s transition. You can catch them on their E! reality series, Keeping up with the Kardashians, and its various spin-offs.
Great article! …loved the Diane Sawyer interview! I understand how Kris feels, but so happy for Bruce!
Agree that it is wonderful that Bruce is finally becoming the person he wants to be! Many times it takes decades for a person to do this, so you are correct that time and support must be offered not only to Bruce, but also to the people who love him, as they all are “transitioning” together.
