On Saturday, one of the stars of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, 17 year old Kylie Jenner posted a picture up on her Instagram account. The photo was an image of one of her photo shoots. She captioned the photo “What I wish I looked like all the time” and tagged members of her makeup team.

Almost immediately some users began to describe the image as a form of “blackface” disapproving of the image, while others describe the image as more silver then black makeup. A few hours later, Kylie posted another selfie on to her Instagram account. Eventually, Jenner responded to the accusations by sharing two different pictures from her photo shoot, writing “This is a black light and neon lights people lets all calm down” and “Goodnight.”

Kylie currently has close to 20 million followers on Instagram. Should this be considered “blackface” or are people overreacting, what do you think?
