Poor Lena Dunham! Lena was rushed to the hospital for a ruptured ovarian cyst, and reportedly will have to have it removed in an operation.
Dunham has a reproductive disease called endometriosis that can elicit some harmful consequences, which can be deadly if not treated immediately.
Endometriosis is a chronic and uncomfortable disorder in which foreign tissue grows outside of the uterus. If not taken care of properly, endometriosis causes anything from fluid-filled cysts on an ovary, as well as possible infertility.
We wish Lena the best of luck on her upcoming operation.
