Days before her new eight-part reality series is set to air on Oprah Winfrey’s network OWN, it is reported that publishing company HarperCollins has offered Lindsay Lohan one million dollars for a book deal.
Most likely Lohan would not write the book herself, but rather a ghost writer would come in and they would put Lohan’s name on it. Nonetheless, Lindsay would be using a diary she kept during her visits to rehab as a basis for the book.
Lindsay’s publicist Tej Herring told Page Six, “There have been some conversations, but nothing official yet.” HarperCollins would not comment.
With someone as infamous as Lindsay Lohan, the book could be a huge success. We’ve seen her fall apart so many times before our eyes and we’ve rushed to judgement without knowing everything. Now is our chance to read exactly what it was that turned the little girl from The Parent Trap to the girl who is in rehab more than she’s out. She is back on her feet now, which is a relief for everyone, fan or not. I’m not sure how many more headlines I could take.
The only thing I’m surprised about is that someone didn’t offer the deal to her sooner.
