The Duggar family might always be growing in members, but in advertisers, it’s surely shrinking. After TLC pulled a new episode and reruns of 19 Kids and Counting following eldest son Josh Duggar’s admission to sexually molesting minor girls over a decade ago, General Mills decided not to advertise with the show. Once General Mills made this decision, more brands decided to disassociate themselves from the reality series.
Choice Hotels will no longer be advertising on the show. Payless ShoeSource is “taking steps” to remove any commercials from the 19 Kids slot. We still don’t know if 19 Kids and Counting will continue to air after the backlash dies down, but if it does, these brands certainly won’t be part of it.
