Early Sunday, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported that Marshawn Lynch is not getting along with the Seattle Seahawks and mostly likely will not be part of the team next year. Mortensen said, “The organization has grown tired of his ways, including pulling a no-show at the White House Super Bowl ceremony, his training camp holdout and his possible contribution to locker-room distractions.”
Then later on Sunday, TMZ released a video of Lynch swinging his bag at a reporter trying to ask him a question. Lucky for the reporter, Lynch whiffed his swing and was unable to make contact. Clearly, something is bothering Lynch, but we’ll have to wait and see if that is enough to part ways with the Seahawks as the trade deadline is Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
The Seahawks are far from the Super Bowl team they were last year. After back-to-back losses, losing Percy Harvin to the Jets, and locker room distractions, the Seahawks need to find a way to regroup. They did narrowly beat the Carolina Panthers 13-9 on Sunday. The Seahawks host the Oakland Raiders next Sunday at 4:25 p.m.
