BET.com reports that Mary J. Blige — The London Sessions will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival at the Beacon Theater next month.
Sam Wrench directed the project, which chronicles the road to Blige’s 13th album. She released The London Sessions in 2014. Over 10 days of recording, she’s seen working with good friend Sam Smith, EDM duo disclosure, and songstress Emeli Sande.
The London Sessions will be a part of a Special Screenings series, which combines films and live performances. Blige will perform after the documentary’s premiere.
The Tribeca Film Festival begins on April 15.
