Poor Meghan Trainor can’t get a break!
The artist announced on Tuesday that she was canceling the rest of her North American ‘M Train Tour’ due to another vocal hemorrhage.
The “All About That Bass” singer first mentioned the medical problem at the beginning of July, when she was forced to cancel shows in Atlantic City and Connecticut.
She then resumed the tour and promised fans that she was taking care of herself and her vocal cords.
Unfortunately, it was not all smooth sailing from there. The artist got bronchitis a short while later and all of the coughing reportedly “pushed [the hemorrhage] over the edge.”
In her public announcement on social media, Trainor explained, “I will need to cancel the remainder of my tour and get surgery to finally fix this once and for all.” Yikes!
She then expressed her fear of the surgery and her disappointment about the canceled tour, calling out her opening acts, Charlie Puth and Life of Dillon to thank them for being a part of the experience.
However, the Megatronz (what Trainor calls her fans) have been nothing but supportive so far. There are many disappointed ticket holders, but everyone has been sending positivity and well wishes to the singer.
Even her opening act and collaborator on the single “Marvin Gaye,” Charlie Puth, tried to get #WeLoveYouMeghan trending on Twitter after telling Trainor to stay positive.
He tweeted, “this break is a blessing in disguise and you will come back stronger.” Aww!
