Michael Jackson was an innovator, icon, dancer, singer, and a king. So, to fill his shoes in a new British film called, ‘Elizabeth, Michael and Marlon,’ he will be played by Joseph Fiennes?
“I’m a white, middle-class guy from London. I’m shocked as you may be.” Fiennes says upon acquiring the role.
Evidently, the film is a story about Michael Jackson, Marlon Brando, and Elizabeth Taylor. Three of the most iconic pop culture stars renting a car and taking a road trip, because they were unable to catch their plane out of New York City because of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
Brian Cox is set to play Brandon, and Stockard Channing will play Taylor. Fiennes understands that there will be many controversial criticisms that he will run into because of this role. Michael Jackson had a pigmentation issue, and he was was always standing up for racial equality.
From the words of the king of pop himself, “I said if you’re thinkin’ of being my brother. It don’t matter if you’re black or white.”
