After an intense couple of weeks of morning talk show drama co-host of Live with Kelly and Michael, Michael Strahan opened up about his exit from the show at Met Gala. He told Entertainment Tonight that, “Every day is great for me.” He’s looking forward to going to Good Morning America but Live with Kelly and Michael will always have a place for him. Strahan seemed very humble and graceful about the drama that surrounded him and his co-host Kelly Rippa.
Strahan defended his co-host by saying, “Everyone got the wrong impression,” of what happen when Rippa was told that Michael was leaving. It has been reported that Rippa did not see this coming and was caught off guard when the news came to her that Strahan would be leaving the show to go to Good Morning America. Rippa had no idea that was going to happen and many accused her of being a diva.
When Rippa came back to work after the news broke out she said, “What transpired, though, over the course of a few days has been extraordinary in the sense that it started a much greater conversation about communication and consideration and, most importantly, respect in the workplace.”
Strahan’s final day on Live with Kelly and Michael will be on Friday, May 13. We hope all goes well for him and we are happy for his new exciting adventure in his career.
