Whovians! Get excited! New Doctor Who Legos are coming!
Actually, that’s a little bit of a misnomer. You’d think the BBC series, which has been around for over 50 years and currently stars Peter Capaldi as the titular Doctor, would have had its own Lego set by now. But these are all brand new, and they’re the first ones.
Lego hasn’t released any information about the sets, so we’re not entirely sure what they look like. However, if we don’t see the TARDIS (That’s the blue police call box that the Doctor and his time-traveling companions use to navigate the fabric of time.) and the Doctor’s sonic screwdriver, we might scream. We also don’t know how big the sets are or when they’ll be released, exactly. Some speculate they’ll be available at the end of 2015. This is a bit of a letdown because San Diego Comic Con is happening right now, and they would have made for the coolest photo ops. There’s always next year!
According to a teaser trailer for the toys, fans will at least see the Twelfth Doctor (Capaldi) in Lego form. Thank goodness! We wonder who else we’ll see in Lego form. Perhaps the lovable Amy Pond (Karen Gillian) or the fierce Donna Noble (Catherine Tate). All in all, we’ll be super disappointed if we can’t carry around a little Lego form of the fabulous Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman). We adore!
For all you Doctor Who fans out there, what are you most looking forward to seeing? Leave your thoughts in the comments! We can’t wait to see them.
COOL! Who doesn’t love Legos, and Dr. Who makes them even MORE fun! Wishing we were all at Comic Con now!
