Anna Kendrick is set to make her SNL debut on April 5th, with musical guest Pharrell Williams. Maybe he’ll wear that hat. Or maybe they’ll make a sketch about it. Either way, the show is sure to be great seeing as Kendrick is no stranger to comedy. If you follow her on twitter you’ll know that she’s kind of hilarious.
Before that, on March 29th Louis C.K. hosts for the second time (having to filter his jokes for the monologue, of course) and hopefully it’ll be as good as his first. He never disappoints. With him will be someone new to the SNL music stage: Sam Smith, whose new album, In the Lonely Hour, comes out June 17th.
The last of the announcements made on the SNL Instagram page (and possibly my favorite combination), Seth Rogen will host with first timer Ed Sheeran as the musical guest. Rogen will absolutely kill it as host, and Ed Sheeran will be an amazing musical performer for the show (and that’s not at all biased because I’ve seen him live 5 times). He even tweeted that he’ll be performing unheard songs from his new album, for which a release date hasn’t even been set. I might just camp out for this one on April 12th.
Other hosts for Season 39 will include: Tina Fey, Kerry Washington, Jimmy Fallon, Melissa McCarthy, Miley Cyrus and Paul Rudd.
Who are you most excited to watch?
