The second teaser trailer for David Fincher’s film Gone Girl was released.  It’s based on Gillian Flynn’s bestselling novel.

Ben Affleck plays Nick Dunne, who is the prime suspect for his wife’s murder.

“Everyone told us and told us, marriage is hard work” writes Rosamund Pike, who plays victim Amy Dunne, in a diary. “Not for me and Nick.”

The trailer shows the complications in Nick and Amy’s marriage. The media instantly makes accusations that Nick murdered his wife. Supporters help the Dunne family search for Amy, including one mysterious character, played by Neil Patrick Harris. Co-star Tyler Perry plays the defense attorney, Tanner Bolt.

Gone Girl hits theaters on October 3.
