The worst part of any separation or divorce is when children are involved. The emotional stress can really affect their ability to cope with the new idea of not seeing mom and dad together in one home, as a loving family. Even though parents may explain numerous times why the separation is happening, most children believe it is their fault (which is definitely not true) and usually act out to express their anger and disappointment.
However, Nick Cannon says that is not the case in his situation. Earlier today, Nick candidly discussed how his and Mariah’s children are dealing with their separation.
He stated “They love mommy, they love daddy. Being the fact our situation, we have always been people who have been on the go coming and going, their life hasn’t changed one bit. We spend holidays together, we do everything that we are supposed to do together as a family. It’s one of those things, being someone who is in the public eye, you never want to deal with your personal life in the public eye—but we have to. The media, they can say whatever they want to say and obviously, because you are not giving them anything, so they kind of create all these stories and make it way worse than it actually is.”
It’s nice to know that regardless of their personal feelings towards each other, especially with the rumors swirling around about his alleged “interest” in Amber Rose, both are managing to co-parent in peace. That’s very commendable!
