Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s ex-boyfriend, is begging her father, Bobby Brown, to let him go to Bobbi Kristina’s funeral, on Saturday. The funeral is set to take place in Alpharetta, at St. James United Methodist Church, on Monday.
The 22-year-old is to be buried with her mother, Whitney Houston, at New Jersey’s Fairview Cemetery.
Brown died on Sunday in an Atlanta hospice center, almost six months after she was found facedown and unconscious, in her bathtub in her Georgia home, an eerie similarity to her mother’s death.
The death of the young star has lead to a homicide investigation, but so far the autopsy report that was released showed “no obvious underlying cause of death” and “no significant injuries.”
Gordon has been recently accused of physically abusing his deceased girlfriend and was banned from visiting her in the hospital and rehab center where she was previously held. He is currently facing a $40 million civil lawsuit for domestic abuse and theft of money.
Gordon emailed Bobby Brown and Bobbi Kristina’s aunt, Pat Houston, asking them to allow his attendance at the funeral.
“I’m asking you both for you blessing in regards to me attending Krissi’s funeral,” Gordon wrote in the email.
The young man reassured Kristina’s family members that he is emailing in advance because he doesn’t mean “to cause any trouble or commotion.”
“I loved Krissi with all my heart and I am destroyed that she is gone and I need to say goodbye,” he writes. “I’m a you both to please put your differences aside and allow me this chance. Krissi loved me very much and she would want me there. Please consider this?”
To conclude his email, Gordon gives his condolences.
“You are both in my daily prayers,” he ends the request. “I know you are suffering. May God bless you both and heal your hearts. God bless, Nick Gordon.”
There have been no reports of a response from Bobby Brown or Pat Houston.
