Making a difference in a community builds character, leadership and value. Each year, Nickelodeon makes a point of honoring real-life kids that are doing extraordinary work in their communities with a  HALO Award (Helping Leaders and Others), a grant for their organization and scholarship funds. The annual Nickelodeon HALO Awards is a night where both celebrities and four honorable kids have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet and share the same passion for making a difference.

The award ceremony will feature musical performances by Fifth Harmony, DNCE, Joe Jonas, and Flo Rida.  Indie rock band, WALK THE MOON’s taped performance from Universal Orlando Resort will also be featured at the live ceremony. Charitable celebrity, Justin Bieber, will be honored the first-ever HALO Hall of Fame Award, an award given to a celebrity who helps and leads others by making the world a better place. Bieber will receive the award for his involvement with the Make A Wish Foundation and Pencils of Promise organization. Most importantly, four real-life kids will be recognized for their exceptional work and service and will each be handed individual Halo Award grants.

The Halo Awards will be hosted by rapper and actor, Nick Cannon at Pier 36 in New York City. A taped version of the ceremony will be aired nationwide on Sunday, November 29 at 7 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, TV Land and CMT.
