NYCFC cannot catch a break these days. They are either playing for draws or losses. They need wins.
The MLS expansion team extended their winless streak to eleven games as they settled for a 1-1 draw against the Houston Dynamo at Yankee Stadium on Saturday night. The crowd of 26, 211 were disappointed to see their team couldn’t end the winless streak.
There were numerous opportunities for NYCFC.One tantalizingly close chance after another. However, at the final whistle, it was merely a tease, another contest that failed to result in victory, as NYCFC settled for a point.
When asked about when was the last time NYCFC won a game, NYCFC coach Jason Kreis stated “It is incredibly frustrated.”
Will Bruin tally off a corner kick by Houston (4-5-5, 17 points) in the 16th minute. NYCFC responded in the 45th minute with a David Villa penalty kick.
