Olivia Newton-John took to social media to announce that she will be postponing the first half of her tour due to breast cancer which has spread to the sacrum.
Newton-John initially cancelled her May dates because of back pain but will now undergo a short photon radiation treatment. She will also undergo natural therapies.
The 68-year-old has cancelled her upcoming dates in Canada and the United States, and fans can reach out to the venues for refunds.
Back in 1992, after being first diagnosed with breast cancer, Newton-John underwent a partial mastectomy, chemotherapy and breast reconstruction. This came in the same week her father died from cancer.
Newton-John’s tour promotes the album LIV ON which addresses issues of trauma like her cancer and her sister’s brain cancer.
In 2008, she built the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
