The employee was making a delivery Sunday night when a man approached her vehicle. He forced her onto the ground at gunpoint. The employee just happened to have a gun in her pocket and fired at the robber. He was shot in the face and found in a neighbor’s yard.
According to police, they believe the pizza delivery might have been a setup. Stevenson was charged with armed robbery.
The delivery woman’s mother told news outlets that she was worried she may lose her job because she was carrying a firearm at work for protection. However, the pizza franchise said the woman will not be fired from the company. It was an act of self defense.
