In New Canaan, Connecticut singer Paul Simon and his wife were both arrested for “some sort of a domestic violence charge,” the police department say.
Police note that they were arrested on Saturday at their home for disorderly conduct. The 72-year-old singer is married to folk singer Edie Brickell and the two had three children together after getting married in 1992.
New Canaan Police Department were supposed to be holding a briefing at 11:30am but they have said that they will instead release a statement. Brickell, 48, is most well-known for her debut album “Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars,” produced in 1988.
In 2003 Simon was given a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and his picture sits in the Hall of Fame as a member of Simon and Garfunkel.
