At 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday June 24, rapper Rick Ross was arrested at his mansion in Fayette County, Georgia.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department has not officially released Ross’ charges, but their press release suggests that officials are investigating an assault case that allegedly occurred on June 7.
The press release also explained that Ross and Nadrian James, a man who was potentially the rapper’s bodyguard, were both arrested at Ross’ home by a U.S. Marshalls Service task force.
The two men calmly cooperated with authorities and the report indicates that both men face the same charges of kidnapping and aggravated battery.
Earlier this month, the rapper was also arrested for marijuana possession. The police smelled and spotted the drug after pulling Ross over initially for his illegally tinted windows.
No further information has been provided by the Fayette County Police regarding Wednesday’s arrest. They were not available for further comment as of Wednesday morning.
